The Tools View

The Tools view has two sections:

• The Administration section is used to do the following:

  • Manage the communication manager.

  • Manage the execution server.

  • Launch Homebas Once launched, information on using Homebase is available from the online help.

  • Generate encryption keys for secure communication between

    File-AID/EX

    components.

  • Launch Repository Manage Once launched, information on using Repository Manager is available from the online help.

• The Utilities section is used to do the following:

  • Perform database cleanup Once launched, information on using performing database cleanup is available from the online help.

  • Use the Logging Manager to set the amount of detail to appear in log file Once launched, information on using the Logging Manager is available from the online help.

  • Perform a password override. Refer to the

    File-AID/EX

    ConverterPro help for information on how to use the Password Override Utility.

  • Generate a privacy report. Refer to the

    File-AID/EX

    online help for information on how to use the Privacy Report Utility.

  • Replicate specification. Refer to the

    File-AID/EX

     ConverterPro help for information on how to use the ConverterPro Specification Replication Utility.
