Manage Credentials
Credentials are required at disguise execution time to access the values stored in translate tables.
Credentials are managed through the Resource Administration stack bar. Each set of credentials includes a reference name, description, user ID, and password. The actual user ID and password are only visible within the Resource Administration function. Everywhere outside of the Resource Administration function will reference the credentials by the reference name.
Once the credential is defined, the user ID and password can be changed at any time and all users of the credential will get the changed version of the credential.
If your site allows lower or mixed case passwords, then code passwords in the appropriate case. Passwords are used exactly as entered; there is no conversion to upper case. If the host is expecting an upper case password, it must be entered as upper case.
All user ID and password information stored in the repository is encrypted using an industry standard encryption algorithm.
You must be a Data Privacy Administrator or a Data Privacy Global Resource Administrator to create, delete, or modify credentials.
