Invoke a Strobe Add Active or Add Queued Request

Users of Strobe who have configured the iStrobe plug-in can submit Strobe Add Active requests and Strobe Add Queued requests from Host Explorer's JES Explorer view. Add Active requests submit a measurement request for an executing job while Add Queued requests submit a measurement request for an active, pending, or completed job.

To invoke a request

In the Host Explorer's JES Explorer view, right-click the job and select Strobe Request. The Submit Strobe Request dialog box appears and allows you to specify information about the request.

Important

The New Measurement page has information about all the measurement fields, including those that are not available within the iStrobe measurement dialog box in Topaz.

Connection Settings

Connection Settings provides the following details:

  • Selected Strobe Server: Displays the currently used iStrobe server definition. If you have more than one iStrobe configured, click Change to switch to another iStrobe instance.
  • Selected Host Connection: Displays the currently used Host Connection from JES Explorer.

Important

The Change option under Selected Strobe Server is available only when two or more iStrobe instances are configured.
