Filter the Containers View


The Containers Filter dialog box is used to filter the ISPW Containers view. The ISPW Containers view can be customized to show only the containers that meet certain criteria, such as a user name or description.

To filter the ISPW Containers view

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In the ISPW Containers view, click filter.gif.
    • From the ISPW Containers view's View menu. select Filter.

    The Containers Filter dialog box appears. By default, the Containers view is populated based on the current user ID.

  2. Enter the desired filters, noting the following:
    • The User ID filter requires an exact match to show any results.
    • Use the container types check boxes (assignment, release, and/or set) to select the container types to appear in the ISPW Containers view.
    • The remaining filters can use a string ending in a wildcard character (asterisk ‘*’).
    • Some field names are configurable. (For example, ISSUE # may be WORKREF in your installation).
    • See to the field definitions for information about each column.
  3. Optionally, to see closed containers, select the Show closed containers check box. Since the list of closed containers can be very long and take a while to retrieve, enter as much filter criteria as possible when choosing to show closed containers. By default, closed containers are not shown in the list.
  4. Click OK. The ISPW Containers view is filtered based on the filter criteria.

    Blank out the fields to see all containers.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
