This access path definition specifies that the translate table can be accessed by a calculated hash value.

To create a Hash Source Value Access Path definition:

  1. From the Resource Administration stack bar on the Data Privacy Menu, select Manage Translate Tables. The Manage Translate Tables view appears.
  2. Select the desired translate table. Click the Access Paths' Add button and select Hash. The Hash Access Path dialog box appears.
  3. Enter a Path Name or accept the default path name.
  4. Specify whether to always use Key access for this path. Select key access only when the key of the translate table is a sequential number and every access is to read the translate table by key.
