Console view
The Console view is accessible from the Window menu by selecting Show View>Console and displays messages about the status of performed actions, such as status and error messages. The messages are prefixed with the date and time. When a user first logs in to a mainframe host, a check is performed to validate the versions of various products (such as CSS and File-AID) that are configured for the host connection. Status messages are written to the Console view.
Using the Open Console icon (an optional, licensed feature) in the Console view and selecting z/OS Console allows users to enter z/OS console commands.
