Offline_Importing and Exporting Compuware Mainframe Projects
Compuware Mainframe Projects can be exported from one workspace and imported into another using the Compuware Mainframe Project Import/Export Wizard. This process allows users to back up or create a copy of their projects, which can be handy before upgrading their Topaz Workbench release, or to share projects with other users or use the projects in a different workspace.
To export Compuware Mainframe Projects
- From the File menu, select Export. The Select dialog box appears.
- Select Compuware>Topaz Legacy Export>Compuware Mainframe Projects and click Next. The Compuware Mainframe Projects dialog box appears. All Compuware Mainframe Projects appear in the list box in the format <project name> <connection name associated with project>.
- Select the projects you want to export.
- In the To directory field, select or browse to the directory into which to export the projects.
- Click Finish. The projects are exported to the selected location, with each project in its own folder.
To import Compuware Mainframe Projects
- From the File menu, select Import. The Select dialog box appears.
- Select Compuware>Topaz Legacy Import>Compuware Mainframe Projects and click Next. The Import Projects dialog box appears.
Do one of the following:
- In the Select root directory field, enter the full path or browse to the directory that contains the projects to be imported.
- In the Select archive file field, enter the full path or browse to the archive file (such as a .zip file) that contains the projects to be imported.
The Projects list box populates with the applicable projects.
Select from the Projects list box all projects you want to import.
- Do one of the following:
- To import the project into the current workspace, select the Copy projects into workspace check box. A duplicate version of the project is copied to your workspace.
- To access the projects from their original location rather than copying them to the current workspace, clear the Copy projects into workspace check box. Projects will be accessed from the location in the Select root directory field or the Select archive file field.
- If desired, select the Add project to working sets check box to copy projects into a working set and use the drop-down list or click Select to select the working set into which to copy the projects. If this check box is cleared, the projects are added to Project Explorer as standalone projects, not within a working set.
- Click Finish. The selected projects are available in the selected location along with one of the following icons:
