Create a New Release

Follow the procedure below to create a new release.

To create a new release

1. Do one of the following:

   • • In the ISPW Containers view or the ISPW Release view, click .

     • From the ISPW Containers view's View menu, select New Release.

     • From the Add Task to Assignment dialog box, click the New button next to the Release field.

     • From the Add Tasks to Assignment dialog box (when adding multiple tasks to an assignment at the same time), click the New button next to the Release field.

     • From the AddNew Assignment dialog box, click the New button next to the Release field.

   The Add New Release dialog box appears.

2. From the Stream list, select the 2- to 8-character code that defines the application structure with which the application is associated.
3. From the Application list, select the main application central to the release.
4. Enter details for the release based on the field definitions.
5. From the Release prefix list, select the prefix to be appended to the next release number. Prefixes are defined on the mainframe.
6. Select the Define implementation date (yyyy-mm-dd) and time (hh:mm) check box to set an implementation date and time, then enter the desired date and time in the Date and Time fields.
7. Click OK. The new release is created and is added to the table in the ISPW Release view as the current active release.
