Impacts Visualization View


Users can view a graphical representation of the results of an impacts analysis, which makes is easy to see all impacted objects, how they relate to each other, and how the selected object fits in. This graphical representation can also be exported.

To visualize the results of an impact analysis

In the ISPW Impacts view, do any of the following:

  • Select the object to be visualized and clickimage2021-3-1_22-56-16.png
  • Right-click the object to be visualized and select Visualize Impacts.
  • Select the object to be visualized and, from the View menu, select Visualize Impacts.

The ISPW Impacts Visualization view appears. The green-outlined box represents the selected object and the chart shows the flow to and from this object based on the levels of indirection shown in the ISPW Impacts view. The selected object is level 0. A maximum of 5 levels of indirection and -1 deep display. Negative levels indicate called object while positive levels indicate object that call the selected object. As nodes are selected in the ISPW Impacts Visualization view, the corresponding row highlights in the ISPW Impacts view and vice versa.

To export the Impacts Visualization view

  1. Right-click within the view and select Export. The Export Visualization dialog box appears.
  2. From the Format list, select the desired format for the exported file.
  3. In the File name field, enter or browse to the file location in which to save the exported file.
  4. Optionally, do any of the following:
    • In the Title field, enter a title to be displayed at the top of the file when open.
    • Select the Include date check box to include the current date in the title area of the file.
    • Select the Include watermark check box to include a watermark on the exported file.
    • Select the View document after export check box to open the saved file automatically after export.
  5. Click Finish. The graphical representation is exported as defined.
