Define Encryption Key Wizard


The Encryption Key Wizard allows you to set up encryption keys that can be used by all projects or only the specified projects.

To create an encryption key:

  1. In the Data Privacy Menu view, on the Resource Administration stack bar, select Manage Encryption Keys. This opens the Manage Encryption Keys view.
  2. Click Add. This opens the Manage Encryption Key wizard, which allows you to define an encryption key.
  3. Enter an Encryption key name and optional Description for your encryption key.
  4. Select the Key value if the value of the encryption key is to be the same for each usage, or select the option to Generate a key value for each execution if the key value is to be changed on each execution. If Key value is selected, enter the encryption key value. For a definition of the encryption key value, see Encryption-Key-Source.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter your Project Availability fields. For a definition of the project availability fields, see Encryption-Key-Project-Availability.
  7. Click Finish to save your encryption key.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
