Stop

This functionality is used to stop a set that is in a Waiting execution status. When stopped, set processing is stopped and the execution status is set to Failed.

To stop a set

Do one of the following:

  • From the Approvals view, right-click an entry and select Modify Set>Stop.
  • From the Containers view, right-click one or more sets and select Stop.
  • From the Tasks view, Assignment view, or Release view, right-click a task and select Modify Set>Stop.
  • From the Set view, click stop.gif or right-click a task and select Modify Set>Stop.

Note: Modify Set only appears if the task is associated with the set, such as when the action being processed (generate, promote, and so on) doesn't complete. Further, only the applicable actions appear in the submenu.

If only one set was selected, the selected set is stopped. If, however, the set could not be stopped, a message appears showing the reason for the failure.

If multiple sets were selected, the Stop Set Results dialog box appears showing the reasons for the failures if any could not be stopped. Click OK. The remaining sets are stopped.
