Offline_Creating a Compuware mainframe project


To create a Compuware mainframe project

  1. From the File menu, select New>Project. The New Project dialog box appears. Toggle open the Compuware node, select Compuware Mainframe Project, and click Next. The New Compuware Mainframe Project wizard appears.
  2. Enter a name for the project in the Project name field.
  3. If desired, clear the Use default location check box and enter or browse to the location on your local file network where you want to create the project. By default, the project is located in the current workspace and the path is shown in the Location field.
  4. Do one of the following to specify the host:
    • Select an existing host from the Host drop-down list.
    • Click Configure to configure a new host.
  5. In the Project type box, select one of the following:
    • Select Online to create an online project in which resources are kept on the mainframe.
    • Select Offline to create an offline project in which resources are downloaded to enable offline work.
  6. Click Finish to create your project. One of the following occurs:
    • For an online project: The project name displays in the Project Explorer view along with the online project icon . A Source folder and a Copybook Concatenation folder (as indicated by ) are created under the online project.
    • For an offline project: The project name displays in the Project Explorer view along with the offline project icon.
