Problems View

Compile diagnostics display in the Problems view and, from this view, users can open the related source member or source listing in an editor and position to the line causing the diagnostic. Refer to the Eclipse documentation at www.eclipse.org for more information on the Problems view.

Note: The Problems view, if not visible, can be opened from the Window menu by selecting Show View>Other>General> Problems.

Compuware-specific functionality in the Problems view

Type column

The Type column of the Problems view displays the following:

  • COBOL Diagnostics for COBOL programs
  • PL/I Diagnostics for PL/I programs

To configure the contents of the Problems view for compile diagnostics

The Problems view's Configure Contents dialog box contains the Compuware Compile Diagnostics configuration, which is specific to Topaz Workbench. If expected diagnostics do not appear in the Problems view, ensure that this configuration is enabled with the default settings.






 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
