Requesting Data Retrieval

Once an object has been selected from a filter for processing by the File-AID Data Editor, a Request dialog will appear in which you can capture your access and display options.

Requests are specific to the type of data you are accessing. In general, you complete your request and save it, then re-use the request the next time you access this same data object.

Optionally you may open or run saved requests from the recently used request list on the Data Editor menu accessed by clicking the toolbar File-AID icon image2021-3-11_10-18-42.pngand selecting Data Editor. You provide a unique name for any request you wish to save. When you select a saved request and click Run, data is retrieved and displayed in the Data Display. A handy link is provided in the Data Display to allow you to return to the request to make changes, re-save, and re-run.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
