Create Random Access Path Definition

This access path definition specifies whether key access will be used.

To create a Random Access Path definition:

1. From the Resource Administration stack bar on the Data Privacy Menu, select Manage Translate Tables. The Manage Translate Tables view appears.
2. Select the desired translate table. Click the Access Paths' Add button and select Random. The Random Access Path dialog box appears.
3. Enter a Path Name or accept the default path name.

4. Specify whether to always use Key access for this path.

   Select key access only when the key of the translate table is a sequential number and every access is to read the translate table by key.

5. Click OK. Your access path now appears in the Access Path list.
