Delete (a Set)

This functionality is used to delete a set.

Note: A set cannot be deleted if it contains a task. To remove a task from a set, unlock the set and then issue a Cleanup action from any view that supports tasks.

To delete a set

Do one of the following:

  • From the Approvals view, right-click an entry and select Modify Set>Delete.
  • From the Containers view, right-click one or more sets and select Delete.
  • From the Tasks view, Assignment view, or Release view, right-click a task and select Modify Set>Delete.
  • From the Set view, click delete.gif or right-click a task and select Modify Set>Delete.

Note: Modify Set only appears if the task is associated with the set, such as when the action being processed (generate, promote, and so on) doesn't complete. Further, only the applicable actions appear in the submenu.

If only one set was selected, the selected set is deleted. If, however, the set could not be deleted, a message appears showing the reason for the failure.

If multiple sets were selected, the Delete Set Results dialog box appears showing the reasons for the failures if any could not be deleted. Click OK. The remaining sets are deleted.
