IAM dataset

Host Explorer supports the following functionality for IAM datasets:

Important

VSAM dataset browse/edit functionality is available via the File-AID Data Editor and only for File-AID Data Editor-supported VSAM types. Refer to the File-AID Data Editor help for information on the VSAM dataset types that are supported.

The icons in the following table are associated with IAM datasets in Host Explorer.

IAM file - IAM dataset browse/edit functionality, for supported IAM types, is available within the File-AID Data Editor. Currently supported IAM types: KSDS, ESDS, and RRDS.

Migrated datasets - This can be recalled to become an active file (see Recall migrated datasets for an explanation of how to recall a migrated dataset).

Migrated datasets are only shown if Display migrated datasets is selected.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
