Managing the Communication Manager

Follow the procedure below to start, stop, restart, or refresh the local communication manager.

To manage the communication manager

  1. From the Tools view's Administration section, select Communication Manager. The Communication Manager Management dialog box appears.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Click Start to start the communication manager. The Local communication manager status changes to Running. Start is disabled if the communication manager is already running.
    • Click Stop to stop the communication manager. The Local communication manager status changes to Stopped. Stop is disabled if the communication manager is already stopped.
    • Click Restart to restart the communication manager. The communication manager stops, restarts, and then the Local communication manager status changes to Running.
    • Click Refresh.png to show the communication manager's current status.
  3. Click Close to exit the dialog box.
