Disable a Data Element

To disable a data element for a project, that project must be open. All data elements for a particular project are listed on the Data Elements tab. Disabling a data element makes it temporarily unavailable to the project. The user role assigned determines who can disable a data element. To disable a data element:

  1. Select and open the desired project from the Data Privacy Explorer view.
  2. Select the Data Elements tab. This opens the Data Elements view.

  3. Select one or more desired data elements and click the Disable selected data element button in the upper right corner of the Data Elements view. This disables the selected data elements and toggles the Disable button to Enable for the data elements selected.

    Important

    If a combination of enabled and disabled data elements are selected, the Disable/Enable button is disabled and cannot be used.

  4. To re-enable disabled data elements, select one or more disabled data elements and click the Enable selected data element button. Any selected data elements are no longer disabled.
