We are announcing enhancements to the BMC Compuware ThruPut Manager product.

Overview of the enhancementsThis section describes the following enhancements.

Enhancements to all editions of ThruPut Manager

The following enhancements are applicable to all editions of ThruPut Manager.

  • The JAL descriptor $CA7(YES/NO) is no longer dependent on ACTIVE ICOM.
  • Display the current SMF information after TM SMF TYPE(nnn) command.
  • Add a JAL descriptor to indicate when the PASSWORD keyword has been coded in the JCL - $JCL_JOBCARD_PASSWORD(YES/NO).
  • When a TM component is not responding (as indicated by DTM6021I) capture diagnostics by taking a dump.
  • Handling of eight-character job names on the TM TRACE command is now supported.

Enhancements to ThruPut Manager Automation Edition

The following enhancements are applicable to the ThruPut Manager Automation Edition.

  • A warning message is now issued for all TMISPF dialog boxes when the Point-and-Shoot options for ISPF are disabled.
  • SLM Performance focus definitions now include policy mode. During installation, the policy can specify that activating the Performance focus definition should change the active Service Mode through a new policy option.
  • In SLM ACM you can include zIIP usage in CPC Busy.
  • We have improved workload selection algorithms to allow better balancing.

To download this version of the product from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website, follow these steps:

  1. Go toProduct Downloads in BMC Support Central. 

    Important

    If the Export Compliance And Access Terms page is displayed, enter the relevant data and click Continue.

  2. Click either of the following interfaces and perform the relevant steps:
    • Product Download Tool

      Important

      • On the EPD web page, Licensed Products is selected by default.
      • You must enable pop-ups for this web page in your browser.
      1. Browse the list of products and click BMC Compuware ThruPut Manager.

        Tips

        • You can search for the product in the Search for Product field.
        • If you have marked a product as your favorite, click Favorites.

        The supported versions of the product are displayed.

      2. Click 18.02 under the product name.
        A new browser tab opens containing all downloadable files for the Service Pack.
      3. Select the necessary files and click Download.
    • Legacy EPD Tool

      Important

      On the EPD web page, Products is selected by default.

      1. Browse the list of products and click BMC Compuware ThruPut Manager.

        Tips

        • In the Enter product name field, type the product name and click Go to filter your product.
        • If you have marked a product as your favorite, click Show Favorites.

        The BMC Compuware ThruPut Manager dialog box is displayed with the Version field set to 18.02.

      2. Select the necessary files and click Download.
