The ThruPut Manager AE Concepts section explains the concepts and ideas that form ThruPut Manager AE’s approach to automating and optimizing your batch workload. This is the starting point for anyone with an interest in ThruPut Manager AE.
The space is organized around the essential and elective features. The essential features provide a full batch automation facility for Thruput, resource and service management of benefit to all z/OS JES2 installations. Everyone starts with an essential implementation before entertaining using the elective features which are available to address specific issues in an installation and are all built on the essential implementation.
The companion Usage-guide leads you through creation of the policies and other constructs that are common to every ThruPut Manager AE implementation. It also shows you how operations and your end-users interact with ThruPut Manager AE at runtime. Reference manuals are available and applicable while implementing either the essential or elective functionality. They supply the details on rules, commands, messages, and administrative or environmental tasks.
