Strobe Performance Profile for Db2 Services Address Spaces
The Db2 Stored Procedure (WLM) and DDF (DIST) address spaces are the only Db2 Services address spaces providing application-only information. DDF profiles are described in the next chapter. Strobe measurements of the DBM1 and MSTR address are not allowed.
Strobe Performance Profile for Stored Procedures Address Spaces
Db2 systems have one or more address spaces called the stored procedure address spaces (SPAS). A Db2 system may have one SPAS or it may use multiple WLM managed address spaces (WLM) that are started and stopped dynamically as the need arises. These stored procedure address spaces are used to execute Db2 stored procedures on behalf of calling programs. When Strobe measures this address space, the Db2 Capture option is automatically set to NO. The resulting Strobe reports show the execution of Db2 modules and stored procedure module execution for all applications using this Db2 stored procedure address space. To view any SQL executed in a stored procedure, measure the SQL application address space. The Db2 Capture option causes Strobe to capture the SQL in_DB2 execution from all Db2 applications’ home address spaces, including DDF.
