Licensing Override Parameters


Detailed descriptions and default values for the parameters associated with overriding StrobeLicensed options are provided below.

LMSS=

Description: Specifies the name of the test License Management System subsystem you want to use with a test version of Strobe. The subsystem must be CWSBssss, where ssss is a unique four-character name of your choice. If using Global Monitoring, you must specify //CWSBssss DD DUMMY in your MNAS startup procedure. This DD statement is also required for all profile creation and transfer JCL.

Default: None

ADABAS=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeAdabas feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When Adabas is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6518I ADABAS IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

ADVNTG_GEN=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeAdvantage Gen feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When Advantage Gen is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6527I ADVNTG_GEN IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

C_SUPPORT=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeC support feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When C support is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6526I C_SUPPORT IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

CA_OPTIMIZ=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeCA_OPTIMIZ feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When CA_OPTMIZ is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6520I CA_OPTIMIZ IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

CA_PANEXEC=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeCA Panexec feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When CA Panexec is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6521I CA_PANEXEC IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

CICS=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeCICS feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When CICS is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6513I CICS IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

COBOL=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeCOBOL feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When COBOL is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6525I COBOL IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

DB2=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeDb2 feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When Db2 is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6514I DB2 IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

DB2_DDF=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeDb2 DDF feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When Db2 DDF is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6515I DB2_DDF IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

FORTRAN=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeFortran feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When Fortran is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6519I FORTRAN IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

IDMS=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeIDMS feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When IDMS is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6517I IDMS IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

IMS=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeIMS feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When IMS is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6516I IMS IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

MQ_SERIES=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobeMQSeries feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When MQSeries is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6522I MQ_SERIES IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

PLI=ENABLE

Description: Allows the StrobePL/I feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When PL/I is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6524I PLI IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

TOPAZJAVAA=ENABLE

Description: Allows Topaz for Java Performance support, if licensed, to be disabled. When Topaz for Java Performance is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6523I TOPAZJAVAA IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). If disabled, Strobe will not attempt to communicate with the Topaz for Java Performance agent. For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.

Default: ENABLE

UNIX=ENABLE

Description: Allows the Strobez/OS UNIX System Services feature, if licensed, to be disabled. When z/OS UNIX System Services is disabled, a message similar to the following is displayed during startup: STR6512I UNIX IS LICENSED (AND DISABLED). For this parameter to take effect, the PARMLIB member must be updated and the session manager restarted. If in SYSPlex mode, these actions must be done for each member of the SYSPlex. Valid values are ENABLE and DISABLE.
