Global Monitoring SMF Data Control Parameters

Detailed descriptions and default values for the SMF data control parameters associated with using Global Monitoring with Strobe.

GM_SMFHOST=

Description: Specifies the CES server name. Specify GM_SMFHOST or GM_SMFIP. If both are coded, GM_SMFHOST will be used.

Default: None

GM_SMFIP=

Description: Specifies the CES server IP address. Specify GM_SMFHOST or GM_SMFIP. If both are coded, GM_SMFHOST will be used.

Default: None

GM_SMFPORT=24355

Description: Specifies the iStrobe SMF server port number. Valid values are 1 to 65535. The port number can be verified by accessing the iStrobe CES Administration tab, and then selecting the Web Server and Ports tabs. The value to use is shown under iStrobe SMF collection.

Default: 24355

GM_TCPNAME=

Description: Specifies the TCP/IP job name of the IP Stack on the LPAR that Global Monitoring is to use.

Default: None
