Milestone 6: Define/Provide System Libraries

This milestone explains how to specify the dataset names used by ISPW. It should be performed for both new installations and upgrades so that the values specified are saved for future upgrades.

Important

Roles involved: ISPW Installer

Task 6.1 Provide ISPF Dataset Names

  1. On the ISPW Guided Configuration dialog main menu (Guided Configuration Dialog Main Menu), type 2 (System Libraries) in the Option field and press Enter. The ISPW Site Compile Libraries screen is displayed.ISPW Site Compile Libraries

  2. Enter your site-specific dataset names for the various items listed under the “ISPF Dataset Names” section. These names were chosen during Determine ISPF Dataset Names.

Task 6.2 Provide Compiler and Related Dataset Names

  1. On the ISPW Site Compile Libraries screen, enter the names of the libraries to be used in tailoring the site skeletons for the various items listed under the “Compilers and Related Dataset Names” section. These names were chosen during Determine Compiler and Related Dataset Names.

    Warning

If you copy the WZCMDS module to a location outside of the IBM ISPF table library SISPTENU, be sure to modify the WZZRCCNF systems macro to account for this change. For example:

    WZZRCDD DD=ISPTLIB
    WZZRCDSN TEMPDS=TABLES
WZZRCDSN DSN=user.ISPFTLIB library.wzcmds <--Add dataset module was copied to
WZZRCDSN DSN=ISP.SISPTENU <--Do not remove this library

    2. Type END in the Option field and press Enter (or press PF3) to save your values. The main menu for the ISPW Guided Configuration dialog is displayed (Guided Configuration Dialog Main Menu).

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
