Milestone 4: Install ISPW Using SMP/E

Important

Roles involved: ISPW Installer

SMP/E Installation

ISPW is installed using SMP/E. The task in this milestone will guide you through the SMP/E installation of ISPW as well as some preparatory tasks you can perform to make configuration of ISPW easier.

Complete the following task to SMP/E-install ISPW.

Task 4.1 Follow the BMC Compuware Installation Guide

  1. Follow the instructions in the BMC Compuware Installer Mainframe Products SMP/E Installation Guide to install ISPW.
  2. Once completed, follow the steps in this guide to configure and deploy ISPW.

ISPW SMP/E Datasets

The eleven ISPW SMP/E datasets listed in SMP/E-Managed Dataset Names are created using the BMC Compuware Installer and SMP/E. These datasets are a base and should not be changed during the customization process.

Important

You will need to remember where these datasets are, because the first steps in the

ISPW

Install Dialog will request the names of the SMP/E Datasets.
