Milestone 11: Install Db2 Repository

This milestone installs the ISPW Db2 repository.

Important

Roles involved: ISPW Installer Db2 DBA

Task 11.1 Run Db2 Installation Jobs

Warning

Do not proceed until the tasks in Milestone 9: Create Base Datasets for options 1 through 5 have all been completed. If those five tasks have not been completed, the Db2 installation jobs will fail and the database will have to be deleted (using $WZD9DRP in the SPWMINST library) and re-installed.

  1. On the ISPW Guided Configuration Dialog Main Menu, type 7 (DB2 Install Tasks) in the Option field and press Enter. The Execute DB2 Repository Installation Tasks screen is displayed.Execute DB2 Repository Installation Tasks Screen

    Warning

If you are upgrading and using an existing repository, skip all options except 5 and 6.

  2. On the Execute DB2 Repository Installation Tasks screen, perform steps 1 through 7 in order by typing the corresponding number in the Option field and pressing Enter. Step 8 is optional, but recommended.
For each step, information input previously is used to generate the $WZD jobs. An ISPF edit session is opened for each job. Review the job to verify everything is as desired, then submit the job and continue by entering the next option. The following table provides a brief description of each job, along with expected return codes.

    Important

Option 4 (job $WZD4RST) will need to be re-run after the tables have been populated with data, either via a conversion process or through normal ISPW usage.
