Check out from PRD to DEV1
Once the module appears in the Task List, the next step is to Check it out from the Production source library to the Development area so it can be updated.
Type C beside the module to be checked out and press Enter. This operation makes a copy of the source code, while the real Production version remains unchanged.

Op is Updated to “C”
As shown in the preceding figure, the Task List statistics (Op, User, and Date/Time), are updated to reflect the module’s status.
Module is Now in DEV1
A copy of the PRD version of TREXX03 now exists in the DEV1 PDS member. No updates have been done yet. It has simply been copied.
Task List Information is “Real Time”
Other users looking at this same Task List will see each module’s status in real time as well. The “metadata” (statistics) being displayed here exists in Db2 tables and is being read and displayed instantaneously.
Pressing Enter refreshes the screen. ISPW supports users being in ISPW in multiple split screens.
