Option M.AL


The Application Load Utility operates at the Application/Stream level and it can be initiated from theISPW Maintenance Menus (Option M, selection X, selection AL) or simply via =M.AL.

On entry to the option, the screen shown in the following figure is displayed.

Field Descriptions

The following table describes each input field on the Application Load Screen.

Field Name

Description

Application/Stream

This must be a valid ISPW Application and Stream and represents the Application that the tasks are to be loaded into.

Level

This represents the level into which the tasks are being loaded. As well as the Production Level, Work-in-progress levels can be loaded.

Signout Path

Every Task (even if loaded at PROD) must have the Signout Path specified. This is the lowest level in the lifecycle.

Assignment

Assignment in ISPW into which the new tasks will be loaded.

Release

This is an optional field where the tasks can be associated with a Release.

Process Option

Specifies the function to be performed. The individual options are referenced in the following sections.

Edit Generated JCL

Specifies if the JCL is to be presented to the user in ISPF Edit rather than submitted directly.

Valid values:

  • Y – Edit JCL
  • N – Submit directly.

OverRide DataSet

An optional parameter where the Override Dataset is specified if the override facility is being used.

JOBCARD Information

JCL Jobcard for batch job that is generated.
