Overview of the enhancements

The following table describes the enhancements for version 21.01 of BMC Compuware File AID/MVS and the PTFs that enable them:

  • Added new member selection parameter MBRMASK (MSK), which handles only an asterisk ( * ) the same way as ISPF handles. The only wildcards allowed are asterisks.
  • If TOPAZ search has a MEMBERS PARM with wildcards that are only asterisks, it will be processed as a MBRMASK PARM.

Option 3.4 Object List pops up a memory warning for wildcard usage under improper conditions. (i.e. If Schema Name field has an asterisk, and if Table type is selected, the popup always appears even if wildcards are not used in Object Creator and Name fields. In this case, Schema Name field should not be evaluated for the warning, because Schema Name is not for Table type.)

Tips

To obtain PTFs, use one of the following methods:

  • (Recommended) Use the IBM SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER command. For more information about using RECEIVE ORDER for BMC products, see Using SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER.

  • Use the BMC Compuware maintenance packaging engine to download the BMC Compuware service pack (cumulative maintenance). The Electronic Product Distribution - BMC Mainframe application provides the Compuware-Products tab where you can choose the cumulative maintenance for your products.
