Purpose | Use this page to display a banner announcement on each page of the space. Create the Space announcements page in the master space, outside of the Home branch. You can version the Space announcements page to enable different banners to be published into different target spaces, however, the banner that is displayed in the versioned (master) space itself only displays the most recently-published banner. If you find errors in the banner area of your versioned space and you are sure the Space announcements page is set up correctly, try publishing the page to the same space. For more information, see Space-announcements-banners.
Removing | When an announcement is no longer needed, remove the BMC Space Banner macro.
Translation | Localized spaces using the L10n Viewport theme must change the name of this page to Space announcements l10n. See Configuring-the-Scroll-ViewPort-theme-for-translated-spaces.
Usage | Choose one or none of the following BMC Space Banner macros. If your space requires another kind of announcement, you can use this page in coordination with your team lead and editors. |
Create/Edit VSAM CLUSTER
The Create VSAM CLUSTER shown in the following figure is displayed when you enter the S (Select) line command on a VSAM or IAM cluster in the Target Environment screen. This screen lets you modify the create cluster information from the extract file to your new target environment.
Create VSAM CLUSTER
Command ===>
Source Object:
Cluster . . . .: 'TSOID01.FRSAMP.CUSTOMER'
Target Object VSAM Component names:
Cluster ===> 'TSOID03.FRSAMP.CUSTOMER'
Data Component LLQ ===> DATA
Index Component LLQ ===> INDEX
Data component. . . . .: 'TSOID03.FRSAMP.CUSTOMER.DATA'
Index component. . . . : 'TSOID03.FRSAMP.CUSTOMER.INDEX'
Specify SMS Class Information:
Storage ===> STDNOCSH DATA ===> Management ===> @NONSTD@
Automatic Space Calculation ===> N (Y or N)
Space Allocation: DATA Component KSDS INDEX Component (Blank for default)
Volume Serial ===> PRD908 ===> PRD908
Space Units ===> TRK ===> TRK (TRKs; CYLs; RECs)
Primary QTY ===> 5 ===> 1 (Amount in above unit)
Secondary QTY ===> 5 ===> 1 (AMOUNT in above unit)
Use this screen to update the VSAM cluster to be created. After you modify the cluster information, press END to return to the Target Environment screen.
During the execution phase of the Load function, File-AID/RDX will attempt to create the VSAM cluster as specified on this screen.
Source Object
This section provides information about the following parameters:
Cluster
Displays the name of the cluster as specified in the extract file.
Target Object
This section provides information about the following parameters:
Cluster
Displays the name of the VSAM cluster as specified on the Target Environment screen. You can also change the cluster name in this field.
Data component LLQ
Low level qualifier for the data component. You may overtype this field.
Index component LLQ
Low level qualifier for the index component. You may overtype this field.
Data component
Displays the name of the data component as it will be in the new target environment. It reflects the new cluster name and low level qualifier.
Index component
Displays the name of the index component as it will be in the new target environment. It reflects the new cluster name and low level qualifier.
Specify SMS Class Information
If you are allocating an SMS file, specify or verify the following SMS allocation class information:
Storage
Specify the SMS storage class to use for the allocation of the file. The storage class describes the hardware requirements of the file.
Data
Specify the SMS data class to use for the allocation of the file. The data class describes the attributes of the file such as RECORG, KEYLEN, KEYOFF, SPACE, etc.
Management
Specify the SMS management class to use for the allocation of the file. The management class describes the migration, backup, and retention for the file.
Space Allocation
Specify the required storage space for the file components in both the DATA Component and INDEX Component columns. The default values are used when you leave these fields blank. The INDEX component can be specified on a generic unit or volume that is different from the DATA component.
Automatic Space Calculation
Specify whether you want File-AID/RDX to calculate the space allocation for this new target VSAM Cluster based on the extracted data or not. The calculated space will not exceed the space allocation of the source. This setting overrides the global status set with the Automatic Space Calculation field in the Target Environment screen. When this field displays an M, it indicates that the space allocation values have been entered manually which overrides the automatic space calculation.
Volume serial
Specify the volume serial of the direct access device that contains the file.
When using SMS and allocating a non-SMS managed file, a Volume serial is required.
Units
Specify one of the following storage unit types depending on how the file size is expressed:
TRK - Tracks
CYL - Cylinders
REC - Records
Primary Qty
Specify the primary allocation quantity as specified in the space units field.
Secondary Qty
Specify the secondary allocation quantity as specified in the space units field.
