PROFILE (PROF, PR)


The PROFILE command displays profile information lines. Use the PROFILE command without parameters to show a two-line PROF information display. The displayed lines, which vary by display mode, are shown in Information Displays.

The command is available in the Browse and Edit functions in Character, Formatted, and Vertical Formatted modes and for specifying formatted selection criteria in the Selection Criteria function.

line-count

Specifies the number of information lines to be displayed.

Up to eight lines are displayed (including the PROF lines) in the order shown in the following table.

Guidelines

The value of CAPS, FILLER, GROUP, OFFSET, and PICTURE and the currently selected SHOW option defining the contents of the Field Description area are displayed for all languages.

Information display lines can be deleted from the display in one of the following ways:

  • Specify PROF 0 to eliminate all information display lines except MSG lines.
  • Use the RESET command to remove all information display lines.
  • Use the D (delete) line command to remove individual information display lines.
