  • Getting Started with : Log on, accessing, training file creation, and default parameter modification instructions.
  • Copy and Replace Dates: Practice using Data Solutions to age records and copy them to a new file.
  • Aging Using An XREF: Practice using the Aging function to update records in a file requiring multiple record layouts (an XREF).
  • Analyzing Data: Practice using Data Solutions to analyze the EMP-HOME-AREA-CODE field in the sample employee file, DASAMP.EMPLOYEE, using a filter to limit the analysis to the area codes specified in the Filter Data set.
  • Using the Translator: Practice using Data Solutions to translate data. This example performs an area code split by searching for area codes and corresponding exchanges and replacing them with new area codes.
