Materialized Query Table


The Materialized Query Tables screen (see the following figure), displays when option 11 is selected on the Object Selection menu. It allows you to create, alter, drop, or model an MQT.

OPTION

Specify the letter of the required option:

C

Create an MQT.

A

Alter an MQT.

D

Drop an MQT.

M

Model an MQT and create a new MQT.

Specify MQT Information (* or pattern for list) Area

Creator

Specify your creator ID. This field is required. You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk) or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.

MQT Name

Name of the MQT to be created, altered, dropped, or modeled. This field is required. You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk) or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.

Specify CREATE MQT Options: (* or pattern for list) Area

Table Creator

ID of the user who created the table on which the MQT is based. This field is required if you are creating an MQT. You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk), or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.

Table Name

Name of the table on which the MQT is based. This field is required if you are creating an MQT.

You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk), or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
