Fast-path navigation
A fast-path command tells File-AID for Db2 Object Administration to access a specific window by automatically opening all the necessary windows that represent the navigation path. Any window with a Command column can be accessed with a fast-path command.
The simplest form of a fast-path command is the single-level command that executes a menu selection. These fast-path commands are listed under the Command column (see the following figure).
Fast Path Commands. This example shows the fast-path commands for the Main Menu. Only the top portion of this window is shown.

For example, if you execute DB in the COMMAND field of the Main Menu, it selects DATABASE. The commands in the Command columns use the object-type code described in Object-Type Codes.
Fast-path commands can be concatenated to access a specific window with a single command string. These multilevel commands are delimited by a period (.). The following example shows you how to access your Edit Unit Table window from any COMMAND field:

The MENU prefix is not required if the fast-path command is entered in the Main Menu.
