FKY (Related Foreign Keys)

The FKY row command displays list of related foreign keys. This command is valid for relationships and tables. Use the RT (table relationships), RP (parent relationships), or RC (dependent relationships) row commands to display relationships.

Another type of referential constraint is the informational constraint. An informational constraint is a referential constraint that is not enforced by Db2 during insert, delete, update and some utility operations. These informational constraints are defined just like RI is defined today using the FOREIGN KEY definition but two new keywords have been added to the references clause of that definition, ENFORCED and NOT ENFORCED. When referential integrity is defined with the NOT ENFORCED keyword, it is an informational constraint.

A new column, ENFORCED, has been added to the Referential Constraints, Related Foreign Keys and Update Foreign Keys windows.

Setting the value of the ENFORCED column to N creates an informational constraint as File-AID for Db2 Object Administration generates the NOT ENFORCED keyword. Either blank or Y in the ENFORCED column will not generate the ENFORCED keyword because ENFORCED is the Db2 default.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
