Code Split - Selection dialog box

Use the Code Split - Selection dialog box to select the procedure that you want to extract during procedure splitting.

To use this dialog box

1. Click Next in the Code Split – Settings dialog box to access this dialog box.

2. In the Procedure list, click the procedure. If the procedure or any of its subordinate groups contains I/O, you will not be able to split the program by procedure. The message "Procedure contains IO" appears on the status bar. To correct this problem, you might try splitting by file I/O and then doing a procedure split on the complement program. If the procedure contains overlapping procedures, the message "Procedure has overlapping groups" appears. For more information, see Level 2 Verification.

   Note

    If you accessed the Code Split wizard from the Structure Chart view, only the procedure you selected will populate the Procedure list.

3. Click Next. Use the Code Split – Run dialog box to launch the code splitting process.
