Properties view

The Properties view gives detailed information about an entity's properties, such as name, type, length, and owner. This can help you determine whether you have located the entities you are looking for. The Properties view has two tabs:

  • The Entity tab, which shows the properties of one entity at a time
  • The Entity List tab, which shows the properties of multiple entities at one time

The Entity tab shows each property of the entity and its value in a row. Properties that do not have a value are not included on the tab. A + sign in the value field indicates that the property has more than one value. Mouse over the + to see a list of all of the values.

The Entity List tab shows each property in a column, which allows users to sort multiple entities by property.

The ID shown in the ID column is assigned by the database to uniquely identify the entity. The Owner indicates the owner of an entity if the entity type is owned by another entity type. For example, data items are owned by programs.
