Benchmarks
Benchmark Dashboard
zAdviser aggregates data from customer sites across the world, enabling you to compare your KPIs against benchmarks that show how your organization is performing in relation to your peers. The Benchmarks dashboard provides benchmarks as points of reference on your team's journey toward improving velocity, quality, and efficiency.
Benchmarks are updated on a regular basis and are reflected in the dashboard visualizations.
Benchmarks and Performance Tiers
zAdviser benchmarks are divided into three performance tiers based on percentile:
- High: The top third is the high performance tier for a given metric.
- Medium: The middle third is the medium performance tier for a given metric.
- Low: The bottom third is the low performance tier for a given metric.
Benchmark Visualizations
The Benchmarks dashboard is divided into sections for velocity, quality, and efficiency (coming soon). Each row provides three visualizations that enable you to compare your KPIs to benchmarks across industries. They include:
- Benchmarks for each performance tier.
- Your average KPI.
- Your weekly KPI trend compared to each benchmark performance tier.
Here is an example of the set of benchmark visualizations for the MTTR KPI.
Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) is the average number of days to fix a bug or incident from when the bug was first reported until it is closed. For more detail on MTTR, please see the IT Service Management dashboard.

Mean Life Cycle Time
Mean Life Cycle Time is the average time it takes to complete a change to a component version, from checkout to promotion to production. For more detail on life cycle metrics, please see the Development Productivity dashboard.

Mean Testing Cycle Time
Mean Testing Cycle Time is the average time it takes to complete the testing phase from promotion to testing to promotion to production. For more detail on testing phase metrics, please see the Development Productivity dashboard.
