Folder Management


You can use the Profile folder management page to perform the following tasks:

  • Add a folder
  • Grant users or groups of users access to specific folders with or without write access privileges
  • Edit or revoke access 
  • Rename a folder
  • Delete a folder and its profiles (Delete folder with database)
  • Delete a folder only and not its folders (Delete folder without database)
  • Sort folders
  • Filter folders

Accessing

To access the Profile folder management page, click Administration > Profile folder management on the Strobe landing page.

Managing profile folders

You can perform the following tasks on the Profile folder management page:

Add a folder
  1. Click +Add folder.
  2. In the Add profile folder window, enter the name of the folder.

  3. Click Save.
Manage folder access

You can grant folder access to individuals or a group of users. 

  1. Click Manage access icon.png next to a folder.
  2. In the Add profile folder window, select the groups or individuals to provide access.

Important: While creating a folder, you can click the Manage access button and grant access. Alternatively, you can select a folder on the Profile folder management page and click the Manage access link.

Rename a folder

Click Rename folder.png next to a folder and rename it.

Duplicate names are not accepted.

Delete a folder
  • To delete a folder and its profiles, click folder with profiles.png next to a folder. 
  • To delete a folder only, click folder only.pngnext to a folder. 
Edit access
  1. On the Profile folder management page, select a folder.
  2. In the Manage access area, click the Edit access.png to edit the access for a user or a group.
  3. In the Access list, select the type of access.
Revoke access
  1. On the Profile folder management page, select a folder.
  2. In the Manage access area, click the Revoke access.png to revoke access for a user or a group. 

Important: You cannot revoke the access of a folder creator.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
