Observation: TYPE 1 Index
The current index is defined as a TYPE 1 index. It must be converted to a TYPE 2 index prior to migration to Db2 version 6. Converting to a TYPE 2 index will reduce deadlock and time-out problems on the index, and provide the following functions not available with TYPE 1 indexes:
- row locking on tablespace
- UR Isolation for an access path
- processing of queries by multiple parallel tasks
- concurrent access to separate logical partition
