Overview
The installation of BMC AMI Products for Web now includes the option to install or upgrade any combination of BMC AMI Products for Web. BMC AMI Products for Web consist of the following:
BMC AMI Common Enterprise Services is a required web platform component providing common services for BMC AMI Products for Web and Workbench for Eclipse. From CES, you can navigate between other installed BMC AMI Products for Web such as:
- Abend-AID Fault Analytics
- Session Monitor
- iStrobe
- Code Pipeline
- Automation for Batch ThruPut
- Topaz for Java Performance
- Total Test Repository Server
Installing CES is required in order to install any of the other BMC AMI Products for Web. In the case where cloud-based licensing has not been implemented, CES would be required for plug-ins licensed through Workbench for Eclipse. It checks for valid LMS licensing through CES HCI Configuration as described in Configuring CES.
Abend-AID Fault Analytics detects application faults on mainframe systems and immediately notifies individuals or work groups when a failure occurs. Comprehensive web-based management reporting delivers valuable information on troublesome applications and trends. Fault Analytics provides the tools to continually monitor, measure, control, and improve application quality to achieve promised service levels.
Security Session Monitor allows you to record application activity for auditing purposes. With Security Session Monitor, you can create search requests from which reports are created using data on the mainframe. Users and help desk personnel can access the reports and information they need from the mainframe in a format familiar to them.
iStrobe is an interactive tool for viewing and interpreting Strobe Performance Profiles. With analytical aids and a familiar interface, iStrobe guides you through the performance analysis process and offers recommendations for improving performance.
Code Pipeline Web is a web-based application designed to be used on desktop web-browser and mobile devices. Code Pipeline enables you to remotely approve or reject Code Pipeline actions as well as deploy software to both mainframe and distributed environments.
Automation for Batch ThruPut Web is a web-based application designed to automatically and intelligently optimize batch job processing, verify necessary resources are available, and prevent data set contention.
Topaz for Java Performance (TJP) provides the information needed to tune a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) on z/OS. Sampling techniques that account for different environments program load characteristics focus on memory, threads, CPU, and class usage.
Total Test Server is used to store test artifacts related to functional testing in Total Test.
