Creating and formatting Abend-AID report files
On the CSS Utilities - Abend-AID Report File Facility screen, the BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID Report Files section lists the eight BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID report files that have been most recently used. To create and format BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID report files, complete the following steps.
- Perform the appropriate step:
- To reformat an existing BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID report file, scan the BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID Report Files list. If it does not contain the file you want to reformat, enter the file name on the blank line at the top of the list. Then enter C to the left of the file name.
- To create a new BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID report file (and add the file to the list), enter the file name at the entry line under BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID Report Files, then enter a C to the left of the file name.
- Press Enter.
- If the file name you entered does not exist yet, you will first see the following file-type selection panel. You must select which type of file you want to create. Based on your selection, one of the following Create screens will then appear:

The following CSS Utilities - Create/Format Abend-AID Report screen is displayed for existing standard DDIO files, CSS Utilities - Create/Format Shared Directory is displayed for exiting shared directory files, and CSS Utilities - Create/Format Report Database is displayed for existing Report Database files attached to a shared directory.

After you have finished editing the fields, perform the appropriate action. To submit the Create/Format job or execute Create/Format commands in your TSO session, ensure that the Command prompt is blank and press Enter.
To cancel the changes and return to the previous screen, enter END at the Command prompt.
Setting Advanced Create/Format Parameters
To edit BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID report file Create/Format advanced parameters, complete the following steps:
- Enter A at the command prompt on the CSS Utilities - Create/Format Abend-AID Report File options screen.
- Make sure the DS Organization field is set to the desired file type.
- Press Enter.

After you have finished editing the fields, perform the appropriate action. To apply the advanced parameter settings and return to the previous screen, ensure that the Command prompt is blank and press Enter. To cancel the changes and return to the previous screen, enter END at the Command prompt.
