CMSC configuration parameters
CMSC00 is the default CMSC PARMLIB member. In the CMSC00 PARMLIB member, modify the CMSC parameters to your site’s requirements before starting the CMSC.

CMSC_ID | Specifies the name of the CMSC. This parameter must be a 1 to 4-character string. The string must consist of the letters (A-Z), digits (0-9), or national symbols (@#$). It must begin with a letter or national symbols (@#$). It must begin with a letter or national symbol. CMSC_ID=CMSC must be specified for the primary CMSC. Use the CMSC_ID start-up parameter when your site requires multiple instances of CMSC. For example CMSC_ID=TEST identifies a secondary CMSC, with the CMSC_ID of TEST, dedicated to testing purposes. CES_PORT | Specifies the port number for the BMC AMI Common Enterprise Services to which the CMSC is to send REST data. Values: 1024 to 65535 Default: None Required: No |
CES_HOST | Specifies the hostname or IP address of the BMC AMI Common Enterprise Services to which the CMSC is to send REST data. Values: up to 70 characters Default: NONE Required: No |
LMS_CLIENT | Indicates whether the License Management System (LMS) client should run in the CMSC address space. Values: YES indicates that the License Management System (LMS) client should run in the CMSC. This option indicates that LMSINIT — the LMS program that reads the License File and constructs the License File cache against which runtime product access requests are made — is to run in the CMSC address space. HCI_PROC | Specifies the name of the HCI start-up procedure. The procname specified here will be started and controlled by CMSC. If you do not want to have CMSC start and control your HCI Proc, then omit this parameter. Values: The procedure name of the HCI start-up procedure. Default: NONE Required: NO |
HCI_PROCn | Specifies the names of additional HCI start-up procedures. Up to 8 HCI address spaces can be started and controlled by the CMSC. Values: The name of the HCI start-up procedure for HCI_PROCn, where n is an integer 2 to 8. Default: NONE Required: NO |
ZIIP_ENABLEMENT | Enables the BMC zIIP service which other products use with various functionality. Values: YES indicates that the BMC AMI Common Shared Services zIIP Enablement service is to be started. This is the default. Default: YES Required: NO |
ZIIP_REFRESH | This parameter specifies whether the zIIP service should be restarted when the CMSC is started. Values: YES indicates that BMC zIIP service will be re-initialized when the CMSC is started. ZIIP_ENABLEMENT=YES must be specified for this parameter to take effect. Default: NO Required: NO |
CES_SSL_KEYRING | CES_SSL_KEYRING specifies the name of the key ring file. CES_SSL_KEYDB specifies the name of the key data base file. CES_SSL_KEYSTH is the name of the key data stash file. If any one of these parameters is specified, the remaining two are not required. The specification of CES_SSL_KEYRING is required for zAdvisor streaming support. Values: The maximum supported file name length is 64 characters. Default: None Required: NO |
MESSAGES | Specifies whether all CMSC informational messages are produced. CMSC informational messages are written to the CMSC log file specified by the //FDBDLOG DD statement in the CMSC started task or JCL. DBUG Values: None YES: Enables standard informational messages. MAINTENANCE_DISPLAY_OUTLIM | This parameter specifies the number of lines (in thousands), to be written to the maintenance information log SYSOUT data set (DD name CWMTDSP). CWMTDSP is closed if the specified value is exceeded, dynamically deallocated, dynamically allocated, and opened. This causes a new CWMTDSP DD to be available for logging of maintenance information. Previous instances of CWMTDSP are available for offloading or eventual deletion. The determination that the limit has been exceeded is made after a complete maintenance report for a product and job has been written, therefore, more lines will be written to the CWMTDSP DD than this parameter specifies. For example, if MAINTENANCE_DISPLAY_OUTLIM=2 (that is 2000 lines), there is a possibility that there could be more than 2000 lines in the CWMTDSP DD because the check for the limit is only done after a complete maintenance report is written. Values: 0 to 65535 Default: 0, meaning that no limit checking is done. Required: No |
