DDIO files
Dump Dataset Input/Output (DDIO) is a proprietary file access method that stores BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID reports, transaction dump information, and source listings for several BMC AMI DevX products.
The term DDIO file is a generic term used to refer the data sets that store the reports and listings from products that use CSS. Types of DDIO files managed by CSS include Abend-AID report shared directories and their pools of attached databases, source listing shared directories and attached databases, transaction shared directories and attached databases, standalone Abend-AID report files, and standalone source listing files. You can allocate DDIO files as either VSAM or sequential data sets and entries can be transferred seamlessly between DDIO files defined with either access method. Different products may require different types of DDIO files.
