CSS overview
BMC AMI Common Shared Services (CSS) is an integral component of many BMC AMI mainframe products. CSS provides storage, retrieval, and maintenance for BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID reports, source listings, and transaction dump information in data sets called DDIO files. DDIO files also include shared directories, and their attached databases, which efficiently maintain information and activity within these files. CSS provides the following functions:
- Provides language processing support for COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and C.
- Supports 64-bit non-XPLINK Assembler.
- Supports AMODE 64 applications written in Language Environment- conforming COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and C.
The following products currently use CSS:
- BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID
- BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID for CICS
- BMC AMI DevX Workbench for Eclipse
- BMC AMI Strobe
- BMC AMI DevX Code Debug for CICS
- BMC AMI DevX Code Coverage
- BMC AMI DevX Code Debug for TSO
