Submitting JCL

This section provides information on submitting JCL.

To submit a JCL, right-click the member or sequential data set and click Submit JCL. You can also submit the JCL from View > Command Palette > DevX Explorer: Submit JCL from Active Editor.

Warning

Important

If submit request contains a valid JCL, the job is submitted and a notification message appears as Job <Job ID> submitted. If you click the Job ID, it searches the Job ID and shows the connection name of the Job ID.

If the submit request does not contain a valid JCL, an error message is displayed as An error occurred while trying to submit a job. No valid JOB card was identified.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
