Editing an HCI connection


You can edit the connection details mentioned at the time of creating an HCI connection, except the connection name. 

To edit an HCI connection

  1. Right-click the connection name that you want to edit and click Edit Connection.
    The Edit HCI Connection panel displays. 
  2. In the Edit HCI Connection panel, you can edit the following fields:
    1. z/OS host name or IP address where HCI is running.
    2. Port number.
    3. Select the Connection type. If you do not select any connection type, the connection type Unsecure will be set as default.
    4. Host code page to use for transferring data. The default host code page value is 1047. 
    5. User ID and password. 

      Important

      If you leave the user ID empty, the password edit step will be skipped.

After editing, the notification mssage is displayed as, "HCI connection <connection name> was updated", and then you will be able to log in with updated connection details.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
