Opening a PDS member


As a VS Code user, you can open the PDS member by using the following instructions.

To open a PDS member

  1. From the menu bar, click View and then click Command Palette. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+to open the command palette.
  2. In the command palette, start typing PDS member. You can view DevX Explorer: Open PDS member command in the list.

    Important

    • If you have not created any HCI connection and you try to log in,  prompts with the error message No HCI Connection Exists and shows the Create HCI Connection option. You can click Create HCI Connection to create an HCI connection.
    • When a single HCI Connection is present, that HCI Connection will be selected.
    • When multiple HCI Connections are present, you can view the quick pick with the list of connections. You can select the required HCI connection. If the connection is inactive, it will first log in and then open the PDS.
  3. After selecting the connection, you can enter the valid PDS member name in DATASET.NAME(MEMBER) formatThe member will open in edit mode.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
