Working with repository
To add an existing repository
- On the activity bar, click on the DevX Code Coverage icon. All the HCI connections created under the repository explore in DevX Explorer are displayed.
Click Add or Allocate Repository

Alternatively, follow these steps:a. Press Ctrl + Shift + P or, on the menu bar, select View > Command Palette.
b. In the command palette, enter DevX Code Coverage: Add or Allocate Repository.
c. From the list, select DevX Code Coverage: Add or Allocate Repository.- From the list, select Add an Existing Repository. The host list is displayed.
- Select the host where you want to add the repository.
- In the Repository data set search criteria field, specify a fully qualified name of the data set to be created. If the repository is available, the repository name is displayed. Otherwise, you receive a notification that no repository was found.
- Select the repository and it is listed under the connection name under REPOSITORY.
To allocate a new repository
- On the activity bar, click on the DevX Code Coverage icon. All the HCI connections created under the repository explore in DevX Explorer are displayed.
- Click Add or Allocate Repository

- In the command palette, enter DevX Code Coverage: Add or Allocate Repository.
- From the list, select DevX Code Coverage: Add or Allocate Repository.
- From the list, select Allocate a New Repository.
The Allocate Code Coverage Repository page is displayed.
In the Allocate Code Coverage Repository page, specify the following information.

HCI Connection name
Select the HCI connection where you want to add the repository.
Repository data set name
Specify a fully qualified name of the dataset to be created.
Repository attributes
- Space units: Specify the primary space units for the dataset. A value must be entered when any repository dataset is created. Valid values are Cylinders, Tracks, Records, and Megabytes.
- Primary quantity: Specify the number of primary space units you want to allocate for the repository dataset. You must enter a valid space unit value when you create any repository dataset. The default size is 10 cylinders, which provides enough space for one or more systems totaling approximately 1000 programs of 800 executable statements each. For estimating purposes, the size of each record is (8 * number of executable verbs) + 160.
- Volume: Specify the volume serial number to allocate the repository dataset. Only use this optional field when creating a non-SMS dataset.
SMS parameters
Use these fields only when creating an SMS-managed dataset
- Management class: Specify the desired SMS management class.
- Storage class: Specify the desired SMS storage class.
- Data class: Specify the desired SMS data class.
- To add the new repository to the selected connection, click Allocate Repository. To restore the fields to their default values, click Restore Defaults. The repository will be listed under the connection name under REPOSITORY.
To view the repository properties
Right-click on the repository and click Properties. The repositoryName Properties page is displayed.
To remove a repository
To remove a repository, right-click the repository name and click Remove. In the confirmation message, click Yes.
